Biography:

So Long Storyland comprises songwriter/producer Rathbone deBuys and vocalist Sophia Preston.  Storyland formed in New Orleans in 2014 and takes its influence from many genres of music.  Recognized as a "compelling" up and coming band (Kings of A&R), Storyland released their first record in September 2015, and their follow up is slated for release in early 2016.

Rathbone deBuys is a songwriter/composer/producer/multi-instrumentalist.  He started his music career playing piano in New Orleans' many hotels and jazz clubs.  After playing keyboard for several bands over the years, Rathbone decided to start his own project and found the perfect singer to voice his ideas.  This project eventually became known as

So Long Storyland.

In addition to Storyland, Rathbone also produces music for other recording artists, and composes music for film. He currently runs his own recording studio, Rathbone Studio¬©, in the French Quarter.

Sophia Preston is a talented young singer and pianist.  At just 14 years old, Sophia has performed at Gretna Fest,  Family Gras Festival, Hattiesburg Music Fest, and the House of Blues.  She writes songs, plays piano and aspires to be a career singer.
